The ink on Vince Ramos

Vince Ramos from Florida
How was it growing up in Florida, would you say that it influenced you?
I love South Florida, and its diverse culture. The people I grew up with definitely influenced me in a positive way.

When did you start getting tattoos?
I got my first tattoo when I was 17.

How would you describe your style?
My style is unique to me, laid back however always focused on the next goal.

Do you consider tattoos as a serious art form?
Tattoos are absolutely an art form, it is the reflection of the spirit on the physical body.

How do you see the tattoo culture right now?
The tattoo culture is growing rapidly, hopefully for the right reasons.

What has been your inspiration for getting them?
I have been my own inspiration, tattoos are an art form that I appreciate, and compliments my physical development nicely.

What’s your favorite piece?
Hard to pick a favorite, however I am very fond of the piece on my right forearm.

Do you catch people starring at you because of your ink?
I catch people staring at me all the time. Quite flattering I must admit.

In your opinion, do your tattoos change your mood often?
My art changes my mood all the time, simply reflecting on of my pieces allows me to go right back to the exact moment I got it and re-live the emotions I was experiencing at the time.

What’s your most significant tattoo and why?
My guardian angels are the most significant, the individuals represented in those angels mean everything to me.

What advice would you give to someone wanting to get their first tattoo?
My advice to anyone looking to get art work done for the first time is to put a lot of thought into it, make sure it’s what YOU want, and to not just dive into it because an athlete or rapper has them.

Will you be getting anymore?
I will be adding quite a few more.

What’s your biggest inspiration, what keeps you going?
My biggest inspiration is my mother - I owe everything to her, she's what I live for.

What is one thing that life has taught you?
The single most important thing that life has taught me is that we are ALL invited to create our own.

Do you have a favorite quote?
And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect”.

James 12:2
God Bless.
